This
week, during e3 we continued our series on some of the sayings of Jesus found in
the Gospel of John. This week’s discussion focused on a woman caught in
adultery, from John 8. Jesus speaks just a few words in this passage, but he
powerfully communicates a message of grace, love, and forgiveness—with a
challenge to live life differently.
I’d
encourage you to take time this week to talk with your teenager about this
story and about the need for grace in our lives. Ask your student about ways to
show grace to others. Does your teenager find it easy to extend forgiveness and
mercy to people, or is that an area where God is still doing a life-changing
work?
We’re
all at different stages in the journey of accepting and sharing God’s grace.
Thank you for praying and for allowing us to be part of your student’s faith
journey! Have a blessed week!
A
couple of notes to keep you updated.
1. Our Middle School Christmas party and the High
School progressive dinner has been moved to December 17, 2011. If you are interested in opening your home to
the high school students please let me know.
2. Pastor Paul will
attend e3 next Tuesday night December 6, 2011.
This is so the students of CCC can better know him. Please encourage your student to attend this
night. This is a great opportunity. Thank you Pastor Paul for taking the time
to be involved with CCYouth.
